    Understand Your Response to Gluten

Coeliac disease is an autoimmune condition where gluten triggers damage to the small intestine. It can lead to a range of digestive and non-digestive symptoms, including bloating, fatigue, anaemia, and nutrient deficiencies. Some individuals may also react to gluten without having coeliac disease, known as non-coeliac gluten sensitivity. Our Coeliac/Gluten Sensitivity Profile helps detect key antibodies associated with gluten-related conditions so you can take the right next steps for your health.

    Why This Test Matters?

Early diagnosis of coeliac disease is important to prevent long-term complications such as malnutrition, osteoporosis, and infertility. Even if symptoms are mild or vague, a simple blood test can offer clarity and peace of mind.

    Who Should Consider This Test?

You may benefit from this test if you:

    • Experience bloating, abdominal pain, or diarrhoea after eating gluten
    • Have unexplained fatigue, weight loss, or anaemia
    • Have a family history of coeliac disease or autoimmune disorders
    • Follow a gluten-containing diet and want to check for underlying intolerance
    • Plan to start a gluten-free diet and want a medical baseline first

What’s Included in the Coeliac Profile?

This blood test checks for three key markers:

    • Gliadin Antibodies (IgG) – often elevated in gluten sensitivity
    • Immunoglobulin A (IgA) – to assess your immune response
    • Tissue Transglutaminase Antibodies (IgA) – the primary marker for coeliac disease

Your results will be reviewed in a secure laboratory report. If you'd like, you can book a GP consultation to go over the findings and next steps.
