MD.co.uk GP Membership Terms and Conditions
1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions govern the General Practitioner (GP) Membership Program at MD.co.uk, located in England. By enrolling in the Membership, members ("Members") agree to these terms.
2. Membership
- Duration: Membership is subject to a minimum contract term of 12 months.
- Fees: £20 per month, with each GP visit costing an additional £20.
- Renewal: Membership is automatically renewed annually unless cancelled.
3. Appointment Booking and Cancellation
- Appointment Fee: A £20 fee is charged for booking an appointment, which is refundable if the appointment is cancelled more than 24 hours in advance.
- Missed Appointments: The £20 appointment fee is non-refundable if the appointment is missed or cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice.
4. Payments
- Methods: Fees can be paid monthly in advance via direct debit or card.
- Non-Payment: An administration fee will be charged for rejected payments. Overdue payments may attract interest at a rate consistent with the Bank of England's base rate plus 4%.
- Annual Review: Membership fees are subject to an annual review and may change.
5. Membership Benefits
- Access to GP services as per the Membership Plan.
- Prescription-writing included; however, medication costs are not covered.
6. Changes and Cancellation
- Changes: Members can change their Membership type after the initial 12 months.
- Cooling Off Period: Members can cancel within the first 14 days with services used during this period payable at standard rates.
- Cancellation Notice: After the Cooling Off Period, cancellation requires a 3-month notice period.
7. Liability
- The Clinic limits its liability to the total fees paid by the Member.
- The Clinic is not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
8. Data Protection
- The Clinic complies with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
- Member data will be handled in compliance with these regulations.
9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
- These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
- Disputes arising under these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
10. Amendments
- The Clinic reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions. The current version is available upon request.
11. General Provisions
- Severability: If any part of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remainder will continue in effect.
- Entire Agreement: These Terms constitute the entire agreement between the Clinic and the Member.
